Commercial Drive area:
The neighbourhood runs 21 blocks of Commercial Drive from Venables at the north, 13th Avenue at the south, Clark Dr. to the west, and Nanaimo St. to the east. The neighbourhood of Grandview is often paired with Commercial Drive, due to the proximity and likeness. Grandview is also a great option if you’re looking for somewhere a little cheaper than Commercial Drive but close enough to it that you won’t even know the difference.
Sometimes referred to as Vancouver’s ‘Little Italy’, Commercial Drive is diverse neighbourhood where you can find just about anything you’ll need. The Drive is lined with independant grocers, coffee shops, cheap eats, and quirky little stores to surprise you. The neighbourhood also boasts a strong community, with many small multi-generational business and family activities happening on weekends. The nearby Trout Lake hosts a popular farmer’s market, as well as other happenings throughout the year. One thing’s for sure, you’ll always find something to do in this neighbourhood!
Commercial Drive Real Estate real estate:
The real estate in Commercial Drive includes Edwardian and Victorian houses that were originally intended to house the workers of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Theses houses still exist, many beautifully renovated, and obviously hold the highest retail value. However, the neighbourhood has been seeing an increase in new developments so it’s possible to find something brand new and affordable (for the area) if you act fast. Prices for a detached house start at $800K and for half duplexes and townhouses, at about $500K.

Commercial Drive Neighbourhood
This is a family friendly neighbourhood with many kid-friendly restaurants, community centres, and parks. Commercial Drive is also a foodie’s dream, with excellent food options and many falling in the ‘cheap eats’ category. Although the number 4 bus’s dependability is questionable, transit is easily accessible along Commercial Drive and Broadway. There is also the Commercial-Broadway Skytrain and 99 B-Line at the top of the Drive.
